Meet the leaders who've helped build Healthline into the fastest growing consumer health information site. The team's deep expertise in media, marketing, product management, engineering, and editorial fuels innovation across the organization.
David leads the Healthline Media team. His 25 year career spans publishing, digital advertising, consumer services, and clientside marketing for both big brands (Disney and Yahoo!) as well as more entrepreneurial ventures. David believes that people need better tools, education, and support in order to achieve good health, and he’s confident that Healthline’s purpose-driven team will make the world stronger and healthier. He also talks a lot about sugar: if you want to live a long, healthy life, minimize your sugar intake.
SVP of Sales
Dante has been with Healthline for over 7 years and has led our sales team since 2012. Dante has a long-running passion for Healthcare marketing, having led sales efforts for the pharmaceutical and other health-related verticals at The New York Times and the Meredith Corporation. His other passions include cooking, staying healthy and a new found love of surfing. Dante and his wife, Heather, are raising 4 children in Connecticut.
SVP Product & Marketing
Tracy leads consumer marketing and manages a team that oversees SEO, SEM, SMM, email marketing, and first party initiatives. Prior to Healthline, Tracy owned a digital marketing company and served in the Peace Corps. Outside of Healthline, Tracy loves reading the New Yorker, hiking, exploring Oakland, and traveling. She’s traveled to over 30 different countries and lived overseas for 3+ years.
SVP of Finance
Cheryl leads the finance team. Her 25-year career has primarily been spent in the healthcare space, encompassing providers, payers, and technology. Cheryl brings to Healthline a passion to drive improvement and consistently challenge the status quo. She loves spending time with her husband and three grown sons.
SVP Content & Design
Tracy leads the content strategy and oversees a brilliant team of editors, writers, medical experts, and producers with one goal in mind: to create awesome content that helps people get healthier. Prior to Healthline, Tracy led the BBC Gardening website in London for three years where she mastered (proper) English and indulged in her love of British gardens. Tracy can often be found hiking her local trails or enjoying a homemade smoothie with her husband and girls in the garden.
SVP of Technology
Andy is responsible for leading the technology development and innovation efforts for Healthline. Andy bring over 20 years of experience with technical operations, software engineering, and product development for companies across a variety of industries. Prior to joining the Healthline, Andy led engineering for several divisions/acquisitions for the Monster.com team. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Math from UNC - Chapel Hill. His hobbies include volleyball, biking, and enjoying the Marin outdoors with his two boys, Drew and James!
SVP of Data and Yield
Andy is responsible for yield management at Healthline as well as data strategy. Andy created the yield management discipline at Yahoo in the early 2000s and then was co-founder and COO of Brand.net before joining programmatic ad leader AppNexus as an SVP GM of their automated guaranteed offering in 2012.

Adda has a BSc and a Master's degree in human nutrition and is a registered nutritionist in Iceland. She started out as a writer for Authority Nutrition in 2015 and transitioned over to Healthline in 2017. She now manages writer communications, topic selection and medical review of all nutrition content. She loves outdoor activities, traveling and enjoying quality time with friends and family. She stays fit and healthy by playing with her three kids, preparing and eating healthy food and doing CrossFit.

Alina is a registered dietitian with an expertise in sport nutrition. She completed her nutrition undergrad in Canada, received her Master’s degree in the U.K. and currently calls the Netherlands home. In her free time, Alina loves exploring new corners of the world, especially if they include a good wave to surf or a nice slope to descend. Alina loves wholesome foods, working up a sweat, and taking care of our planet.
Ansley is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based out of Portland, Oregon. She earned her degree in Nutrition from Georgia State University and completed her dietetic internship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She’s an experienced clinical nutritionist and teaches nutrition and cooking classes for members of her local community. She is passionate about empowering her students and clients to make well-informed food choices to support their health, while also staying true to their unique taste preferences and cultural backgrounds. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, swing dancing, and reading true crime novels.
PhD in nutrition from the University of Iceland and BSc in biology. Has considerable research experience but also enjoys writing nutrition articles for the general readership. Keeps fit by hiking in the Icelandic wilderness and pursues nature photography in his pastime, while transforming into a bedroom musician when the weather is bad.
Daisy is a Sydney-based Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and PhD candidate at the George Institute for Global Health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours Class I) from the University of Newcastle and a BSc in Physiology from the University of Sydney. Her PhD research focus is within food reformulation, monitoring changes in the food supply and improving food environments to improve population health. In her spare time, she can be found gathering friends for lunch dates, strolling through farmers markets, and pounding the pavement with a good podcast.
Elise is an Australian dietitian now living in the Austrian countryside. She completed her bachelor’s degree in dietetics 2010 and is currently completing a masters in digital healthcare. Elise’s passion is connecting with people through food and technology to help them to lead healthier more balanced lives. In her spare time she loves to bake, hike in the mountains and spend time in her vegetable garden.

Lizzie has a MS in Human Nutrition from Drexel University and a BA in Environmental Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. She is as a Registered Dietitian who specializes in translating science to the kitchen and creating healthy and delicious recipes. Lizzie is passionate about helping others embrace vegetables and develop new kitchen skills, while celebrating seasonal food and local food systems. In her spare time, Lizzie enjoys visiting new restaurants, running, and taking long bike rides.
MS, RDN, CLT
Erica is a registered dietitian and blogger with a passion for functional nutrition and online entrepreneurship. She runs two websites, Functional Nutrition Answers and The Unconventional RD, where she shares nutrition articles and helps other wellness professionals create passive income online. Erica earned her Bachelors in Psychobiology from UCLA and her Masters in Nutritional Science from CSULA. She also has additional training in adverse food reactions. When she’s not at the computer writing, Erica can be found in the kitchen, rocking out to good music and cooking up a storm.
Franziska Spritzler has a BSc in nutrition and dietetics. She is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with expertise in carbohydrate-restricted diets for diabetes and weight management. She enjoys a vibrant lifestyle that includes healthy foods, walking on the beach, and performing a combination of resistance, cardio, and flexibility exercises to stay fit.
Gavin Van De Walle
Gavin Van De Walle holds a master's degree in human nutrition and exercise physiology. He is also a registered dietitian and the owner of Dakota Dietitians. Gavin has a bias for the truth and aims to provide the public with the information they need to make educated and informed health decisions. When he's not helping the public cut through the sensationalized nutrition headlines and the misinformation spewed by medical TV hosts and other self-proclaimed nutrition experts, he likes to consider himself a coffee connoisseur.
Grant Tinsley is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology at Texas Tech University, where he teaches sports nutrition courses and conducts research. His research examines how nutrition, exercise and dietary supplements affect human body composition and exercise performance. Grant earned B.S. degrees in Physiology and Nutritional Sciences, a M.S. degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Exercise Nutrition. He is a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He enjoys lifting weights, reading and writing.
Helen has a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. She has extensive experience as a gastro-specialist Dietitian in the UK’s National Health Service and is passionate about evidence-based nutrition. She recently returned to the UK to start a family, after a 3 year sabbatical in Bali, Indonesia. Her favorite ways to stay active are running, surfing and yoga.
Jillian Kubala is a Registered Dietitian based in Westhampton, NY. Jillian holds a master's degree in nutrition from Stony Brook University School of Medicine as well as an undergraduate degree in nutrition science. Aside from writing for Healthline Nutrition, she runs a private practice based on the east end of Long Island, NY, where she helps her clients achieve optimal wellness through nutritional and lifestyle changes. Jillian practices what she preaches, spending her free time tending to her small farm that includes vegetable and flower gardens and a flock of chickens.
MS RD (Aus)
Joe Leech is an Australian dietitian with a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. He has published hundreds of evidence-based nutrition articles, both for Healthline and his website. Joe has also produced almost 250 nutrition videos for Healthline's Nutrition Youtube channel, viewed by more than 6 million people. He currently lives in Sweden and keeps fit by weight training regularly, eating mainly home-cooked meals and snowboarding in the winter.
Kaitlyn received her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University and completed her dietetic internship at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. She is a registered dietitian currently working in both clinical and ambulatory settings. Kaitlyn is passionate about relaying well-founded and evidence-based nutrition information to her patients and the general public. Kaitlyn loves to travel and explore the great outdoors via hiking or kayaking. She also enjoys trying new foods and embracing her inner "foodie." In her spare time, you can find her making a mess in the kitchen as she experiments with new recipes.
Kris is a nutrition researcher with a Bachelor's degree in medicine. He has spent years reading books, blogs and scientific studies on nutrition. Evidence-based nutrition is his passion and he plans to devote his career to informing people about it. He stays fit by lifting weights, taking walks and eating real food.
Makayla received her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is now a registered dietitian based out of Colorado. She is the founder of Own It Nutrition, a nutrition service that helps winter sport athletes reach their health and performance goals. She has a passion for teaching and is experienced in nutrition education and public speaking. In her free-time, she enjoys snowboarding, cooking, and living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Marsha is a registered dietitian and has an MS in nutrition, as well as an MS in technical communication. During her career, she’s been a nutrition counselor and health coach, an assistant professor at a private university, a marketing specialist at nutrition product companies and a writer for several health-focused magazines and newsletters. She has a special interest in integrative and functional medicine, as well as environmental health. She believes you’re not only what you eat, but also what you breathe and put on your body.
Mary Jane McCluggage

Mary Jane is a registered dietitian currently working in research.She is the founder of 'Yummy Tummies', a weight management program for pregnant women, and nutrition lead at 'BreakFit', a health and fitness service for the 40+. Mary Jane studied in North Ireland and in the USA to complete a BSc in Human Nutrition from Ulster University. She then went on to complete her PhD focusing on diet, exercise and weight management in pregnancy, and more recently completed a postgraduate diploma in dietetics. She enjoys walks on the beautiful north coast of Ireland and is passionate about providing evidence-based nutrition advice for the general public.
Melissa Groves, RDN, is a registered dietitian nutritionist who specializes in women's health and hormones. She is the owner of Avocado Grove Nutrition & Wellness, an integrative nutrition counseling business. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English and Dance from Hofstra University in New York and spent 15 years working as an advertising copywriter in New York City before receiving a second degree in Nutrition from the University of New Hampshire. She serves on the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine board as Social Media Chair, on her state board as Professional Development Chair-Elect, and has been featured in several national magazines including Shape, Readers' Digest, and US Arrived & World Report.
Rachael Link is a registered dietitian based in New York City. Rachael completed her undergraduate degree in Missouri and received her Master's degree from New York University. She is passionate about plant-based nutrition and achieving better health by balancing her time between the kitchen and the gym. She also enjoys sharing healthy recipes and nutrition tips on her blog and Instagram.

Ryan has a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Auckland. He is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about the role of antioxidants in health and has published studies on how they may affect several eye diseases. Ryan loves to explore different corners of the world and try unique foods from many different cultures. In his spare time he loves to design fun and healthy recipes.
Sharon is currently a registered dietitian in Ireland. She has a BSc in neuroscience, MS in nutrition and a post graduate diploma in dietetics. She is passionate about improving wellbeing, which evolved from her study of brain behaviour and nutrition. Sharon worked as a nutrition writer in Singapore and then moved to New Zealand, where she gained experience as a lecturer in Nutrition. When she is not working, she loves getting out in nature, doing some yoga and travelling to new destinations. She likes to share her food photos and nutrition posts on her social media.

But Doctor I Hate Pink
Ann Silberman was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2009. Later, she learned she had stage 4, but a new drug sent her cancer into remission. Sadly, Ann has since learned she has active cancer once again. Even though her remission period is over, Ann is still here in a big way.
Caregiving Is Not for Sissies
Pat White should know. She was caregiver to her mother who lived with Alzheimer’s for about five years. Her father also suffered from dementia. And now, Pat is caring for her husband, a former Ph.D. physicist whose health has been compromised by multiple strokes.
Their Stars Aligned and Sparks Flew
It must have been destiny that brought Jennifer and Dan Digmann together at an MS conference called “Finding Your Buried Treasure.” The dynamic soul mates say they’re just a normal married couple who both happen to have MS.
