Progressing Multiple Sclerosis
More than of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) are diagnosed with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS). RRMS is distinguished for its episodes of relapses or flare-ups followed by periods of remission. This cycle of relapses and remissions is unpredictable and sporadic.
While having any type of MS has its challenges, people with RRMS may develop a more progressive form of the disease. Early treatment may slow or halt this progression.
